Nurturing a culture of collaboration requires structures that provide the framework for creative self organization, equivalence, and participatory leadership. These structures must be flexible, inclusive, and efficient. They must facilitate co-creative design and progressive forward movement, along with information flow and feedback loops for effective management.
My experience in building and remodeling have greatly affected my concept of creative structure. I realize how I thrive in warm, creative, clutter free environments. I love to live and work in environments that comfort my body, feed my soul, and channel my energy.
After many years working in a variety structures, I have found the models of Wisdom Circles and Sociocracy to provide the components necessary for a safe environment and effective organizational system that empowers connection and collaboration. The circle structure provides the framework for equivalence and shared leadership.
